Ambassador Charitable Society began on Sunday, 23 April 1995, in a small buffalo hut in the remote village of Tilaboni. From this modest setting, the organisation initiated its first child care and educational activities for underprivileged children.
Its inspiration came from the experiences of Dr. Subimal Dutta, whose work among remote and underserved communities exposed the difficult realities faced by children living without care, education and guidance. Deeply moved, Mrs. Barnali Dutta took a leading initiative and became deeply committed to child care and education.
What began as a small act of compassion has grown into a dedicated, child-focused organisation. Today it serves vulnerable children through care, education, character formation and holistic development.
A compassionate, inclusive and empowered society where every orphan, semi-orphan, vulnerable and tribal child lives with dignity, love, protection and opportunity.
Holistic development of vulnerable children through shelter, food, healthcare, education, emotional support and life-skills, strengthening families and communities.
Identify and support orphans and vulnerable children; provide safe shelter, food, healthcare and education; prevent exploitation; and empower tribal communities and women.
We are committed to the protection, care and holistic development of every child that comes into our fold.
We are accountable to the children and families we serve, our donors, government authorities, community stakeholders and our governing board. We ensure this through proper documentation, regular monitoring & evaluation, accurate financial records, compliance with law and periodic reporting.
We are committed to openness, honesty and integrity. Our transparency practices include clear and auditable financial accounts, sharing goals and outcomes, using donations only for approved purposes, timely reporting, and addressing grievances through fair, confidential procedures.
Our work focuses on areas facing severe socio-economic challenges and deep-rooted inequality.
ACS works to rebuild community solidarity through:
Women are the backbone of family survival in many tribal and economically vulnerable communities. They often carry a dual burden — contributing to household income while managing domestic responsibilities, childcare and elder care.
ACS believes every woman deserves equal respect, access to education, freedom from violence, and the opportunity to build a secure and meaningful future for herself and her children. Through self-help groups, vocational training and income-generating opportunities, we stand with women and caregivers.
Dear Friends, Supporters, and Visitors,
It gives me great joy to welcome you to the website of Tilaboni Ambassador Charitable Society (ACS). Our journey began with a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves love, protection, education, and the opportunity to live with dignity.
Over the years we have witnessed the painful realities faced by many orphaned, semi-orphaned, tribal and vulnerable children — yet also their incredible resilience, courage and potential. Through our Dreaming Centres and Ambassadors Mission School, we strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where children can heal, learn, grow and dream again.
At ACS we believe transformation happens when compassion is combined with commitment. Every child who enters our care is treated with respect, dignity and love, regardless of caste, tribe, religion, gender or economic background. We remain committed to transparency, accountability and ethical service.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated staff, teachers, caregivers, volunteers, donors, partners and community members. Together, we can build a future where no child is left behind.
